Klara Armandova

Biography

Dr Clara Armand (MA in Theatre Studies, University of Leeds; PhD in Theatre, Film and Television, University of Reading) is an outstanding theatre practitioner (director), educator (teaches Acting, Directing, and Writing for the Stage & Screen) with directing credits in Rep Theatres, London & Edinburgh Fringe, and the West End. Her production of Shakespeare's play 'Romeo and Juliet' won the Best Youth Theatre Achievement Prize at the '94 Edinburgh Festival. She has numerous publications in internationally renown theatre magazines, conference papers, and workshop-based seminars. She has produced a feature film and numerous short films. She has taught Drama and Performance at a number of universities, including Brunel and the University of Essex, and has taught Acting and directed at most of the NCDT-accredited drama schools in the UK.
