The film presents an intimate look into the artistic pursuits and personal relationships of Christo—the world-renowned Bulgarian artist known for his massive installations. For the first time following the death of his wife and partner, Jeanne-Claude, Christo realizes a project they had conceived together many years earlier: “The Floating Piers.” “The Floating Piers” is a masterpiece that allows visitors to walk on water via interconnected polyethylene cubes wrapped in a striking yellow-orange fabric. Realized on Lake Iseo at the foot of the Alps, the project offers a rare glimpse into the complex process of orchestrating an art production on such a monumental scale.
