In a Roma neighborhood in Bulgaria, Kukuk, an ambitious and free-spirited 18-year-old girl, prepares for high school graduation - a moment promising a future beyond poverty and prejudice. Her family beams with pride as she dreams of studying in Sofia and escaping the constraints of her neighborhood. But the celebration turns dark when Bat Rambo, a feared local man, becomes obsessed with her. On graduation night, Kukuk disappears - abducted and forced into a violent world of unconditional obedience, and unquestioned male dominance. Her parents' desperate attempts to rescue her are met with brutality, and when the police arrive, Kukuk, terrified for her family's safety, denies she's there against her will. During their wedding, a group of street children plunges the night into chaos, giving Kukuk one last chance to flee. In the shadows of the Roma quarter, amidst dust and broken dreams, a young woman's cry for freedom becomes an echo of resilience and hope.
