Shekspir po balkanski (2002)

Plot

It's Christmas time and a director is staging Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Convinced that theatre can help people to better understand themselves, he entrusts the roles to children from a village.
The story takes place in the local church dating back to the 10th century, and reminds of medieval mysteries. The children make their costumes all by themselves, and, submersed in the secrets of dramatic art, experience in reality the immortal story of love.
