Two lives unlived by the moment of their encounter when the sudden outburst of emotions makes the protagonists discover true love and rethink their past. He helps her overcome her fears; she helps him look deep inside himself. Maria is facing one more trial in her life: her father is dying and his last wish is to meet his son-in-law-to-be and bless the young couple. She asks a colleague with whom she has a long effete relationship but he does not respond. Maria heads for her father’s village hoping that her boyfriend will nevertheless understand and come up. She waits for a long time at a deserted crossroad under the rain when a luxurious jeep stops by and the young man behind the wheel suggests to give her a ride. Desperate, Maria proposes to introduce him as the husband-to-be. The man agrees, probably feeling that this is a crucial moment for both of them.
