A historical documentary about the life and legacy of Prof. Ivan Shishmanov - scholar, polymath, educator, public figure, politician, Minister of Education, Chairman of the Bulgarian Section of the Pan-European Union. As a minister in the early years of the XX century, Shishmanov reformed and established most of Bulgaria's educational and cultural institutions. He sent Bulgarian scholars and artists abroad to learn about the achievements of European science and art and bring the new knowledge home.
