Georgi Georgiev-Gec

Georgi Ivanov Georgiev-Gec was born on 4 October 1926 in the village of Razpopovtsi, now a district of the town of Elena. Plays in the Ivan Vazov National Theatre all the time since 1953 up to his death. His best known film role is that of Yordan in the movie Selyaninat s koleloto (A Peasant on a Bicycle) for which he got the best actor award on the Varna and Moscow Film festivals. He died as a result of a heart attack on 2 September 1996 in Sofia.
