Ivan Andonov was born on May 3, 1934 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He graduated from the Theatrical Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1956. He is one of the most important Bulgarian cinema actors. Since 1965 he is a director and designer in animation. The films "Zatrudnenie" (1967), "Esperanca" (1967) and "Melodrama" (1971) brought him international awards and recognition.
