Nikola Kovachev was born on November 4, 1926 in Vidin, Bulgaria. Kovachev died on October 8, 2005 in Burgas, Bulgaria. He used to be the director of the Dimitrovgrad Theatre, and has also chaired the creative council with the Bourgas theatre. He was well known for his original creative ideas, and for his unwillingness to follow any strict artistic rules.
