Petyr Dimov

Petar Dimov was born on October 10, 1938, in Sofia. He graduated with a degree in Acting from the Krastyo Sarafov Higher Institute for Theatre Arts (now NATFIZ) under the mentorship of Professor Krastyo Mirsky. His professional career began at the Pleven Drama Theatre (1961–1964), after which he became a long-standing member of the Bulgarian Army Theatre. Throughout his illustrious career, Dimov performed numerous notable roles, including Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro, the Actor in The Lower Depths, and Charles in Madame Bovary. In addition to his stage work, he appeared frequently in film and television, earning several awards at national reviews of Bulgarian drama and theatre. His final performance at the Bulgarian Army Theatre was in the production of Albena (2017–2018), directed by Krasimir Spasov. Beyond the spotlight, his passions included painting and the culinary arts.
