Hlqb nad ogradata

2002 · Documentary
Two Bulgarian villages have a predominantly Catholic population. Their locations contrast, both in terms of geographical landscape and the regional cultural traditions. The inhabitants live in harmony with their neighbours - Orthodox Christians and Muslims. The film follows the course of an ordinary day in both villages in parallel. It discovers the religious tolerance that is part of the philosophy of life of these people of different faiths. "Everything begins with bread!" one of the film characters says. The film gradually adds to his statement, "and nothing ends with fences."
