Iulii Stoqnov was born on April 27, 1930 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
He received his degree in Film Directing at FAMU - Prague. He has directed over 5o documentaries. His films have won numerous prizes in Moscow, Leipzig and Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
