Iuliq Kyncheva was born on July 1, 1956 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She graduated in Film and TV Directing from NATFA, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1980. She worked as scriptwriter and director at BNT, Sofia, Bulgaria since 1980 till 1992. Since 1992 she is a freelancer and a professor in NBU, Sofia, Bulgaria.
