Milan Ognqnov

director
Milan Ognqnov was born on May 27th, 1942 in Sofia. He graduated from the Sofia University 'Kliment Ohridski' with Physics as a major (1979), as well as Cinematography in Moscow (1979). Since 1970 he has worked as a cameraman in 'Vreme' Studios where he founded the first group for under-water pictures. In 1978 he makes his debut as a director with the films 'Generation' and 'Dyhlata'. Between 1979 and 1983 he was a cameraman for 'Boyana' film center and from 1983 until 1990 he works as a director for 'Vreme' Studios. His films have received many national and international awards. He dies on August 25th, 2004. His last film is 'Mimi Balkanska - The Unique One' (2003).
