Zako Heskiq

Isak Solomonov Heskiq was born on September 21st, 1922 in Istanbul, Turkey. Heskiq became in 1966 international audience for "Gorechto Pladne" (Torrid Noon), the first Bulgarian contribution to the Cannes Film Festival and a nomination for the Palme d'Or. In 1981 he won the spezial prize at the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) for "Yo Ho Ho".
Zako Heskiq works together with the former state Boyana Film Studio in Sofia.
He died on June 3rd, 2006.
